Crossing The Line.
A photographic documentary of music from either side of the English/Scottish border.
Are you a musician, singer, songwriter from Scotland or the Borders and do you make a living from your music? If you are I am hoping you would want to take part in this project. Likewise if you know anyone who would fit this criteria please let them know.
The aim of this project is to photograph folk & traditional music as well as country music, blues, rock etc in the Scottish/English Borders. I aim to show the performing side to each musician as well as trying to portray them in their everyday environments living within their communities.
This project will take at least a year to complete maybe longer, these are early days for images as I'm just starting the project so why not pop back from time to time to see how it develops. The images on this page are only part of the whole project, I'm in the process of producing a blog with more imagery and information about the various artists. Coming very soon.
Please note: After over a year of serious back problems This project came to a halt. I finally had a spinal operation on the 12th August and It's taken me months to recover. I am however about to restart this project This has been a long and troublesome time for me and it had not been possible to continue. But now after this long and painful experience I'm up and running so can you please help me by letting anyone you know who would be interested. Thanks, see you at a gig, Kevin.
Oh and by the way!! If you are planning a gig around the Scottish/English Border that you would like me to photograph, please get in touch!

There are so many talented musicians within the English/Scottish Borders with a vast cross section of musical talents, it's going to be a challenge to bring them together but the challenge is well worth it because the end result will be a collection of photographic imagery that will be here for generations to come.
